Double-click the .exe file to start the installation. (Run as Administrator if required).

Claude connection broken after moving or reinstalling? Click "Connect Claude" in the BIM-Bot ribbon inside Revit — it repairs the config and reports per-client status.

Claude Desktop Configuration

The automated installer configures this automatically. Use this only if you need to set it up manually.

Manual Configuration

Add the following JSON block to your Claude Desktop configuration file located at %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json:

Uninstall

Clean removal

One command to remove everything — or do it manually.

Uninstall from Windows

Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find BIM-Bot, and click Uninstall.

Or simply re-run the installer .exe — it detects the existing installation and offers a Repair or Uninstall option.

Restart Revit after uninstalling to fully unload the plugin.

Manual Uninstall

Follow these steps to remove BIM-Bot manually:

Delete %ProgramData%\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\20XX\BIMBot.addin for each Revit version (2020–2027)
Remove "BIM-Bot" block from %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
Delete C:\Program Files\BIMBot folder
Restart Revit and Claude Desktop
